Artisanal Bistro NYC

Opening September 2009 at the Bravern, Artisanal Brasserie and Wine Bar will feature French fare: fondues, steak frites and many cheeses. Artisanal Table will serve Neopolitan thin crust pizzas and tapas.

The Brasserie portion will be in a 300 seat dining space within the Bravern. The restaurant will feature outdoor seating.

Artisanal Brasserie is based on the NYC restaurant inspired by Chef Terrance Brennan.

Gilbert’s specialty is in their bagels. However, their breakfast entrees are also delicious. Pancakes and waffles are large with great toppings and flavors. In the afternoon, French crepes are available. It’s a small cute, romantic café—great for brunch or a breakfast date. There is limited outdoor seating.

Café Piroutte is located in an alley off Old Bellevue’s Main Street. It is a romantic and quaint restaurant that serves sweet and savory crepes with vegetables and/or meat. Savory crepes come with a side of salad. The menu includes other items such as shrimp BLT, omelets, lamb shank, and veal saltimbocca. Service is hit or miss depending on your server. They are open on Friday and Saturday for dinner and the weekend for brunch.

Belle Pastry is part of old Bellevue, on Main Street. Located South of the Bellevue Downtown Park, it is a great location to visit after a nice stroll in the park.

Belle Pastry serves traditional French pastries. The pastry case is filled with freshly baked croissants (plain, ham & cheese, almond, chocolate, raspberry), danishes, cookies, and sweet breads. There is also a case full of gourmet French desserts and chocolate confections. All are made daily at the store.
