Bellevue Cafes and Coffeeshops

Looking for something other than Starbuck’s/Seattle’s Best/Tully’s?

Downtown Bellevue has a selection of cafes and coffeeshops that serve coffee brewed from a variety of coffee beans.

Belle Pastry serves Caffe D’Arte coffee. The coffee blend is reminiscent of Italian coffee flavor. Belle Pastry is a great place to catch up with friends. A variety of French pastries are available.

Bellevue Arts Museum Cafe serves Fonte coffee. The cafe focuses on serving drinks and food made from organic coffee beans.

Cafe Habits is located in front of the Bellevue Galleria. The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating in front of the fountain.

Caffe Ladro just opened up in the Expedia building. Their focus is serving organic, shade grown, fair trade coffee.

Kaede Japanese Kissa is a traditional Japanese cafe. Visitors get a glimpse of the Japanese coffee culture with a visit to Kaede.

T’Latte is a cafe that serves Caffe Vita coffee, a local Seattle coffee brand.

Top Pot Donuts serves coffee from beans sourced globally. The blend includes beans from Ethiopia, Brazil, Sumatra, and Papua New Guinea.

Dilettante Mocha Cafe
is a chocolate centered coffeeshop. Although their main focus is on chocolate, guests enjoy mochas and other espresso drinks.

Weekend Brunch in Bellevue

Bellevue offers a variety of brunch options. The restaurants listed below offer brunch menus influenced by their specialty cuisine.

Cafe Piroutte
serves savory and sweet French crepes. Savory crepes come with a side salad.

Monsoon East will be offering unique brunch options inspired by Vietnamese cuisine.

Z’Tejas
serves barbeque and tex mex flavors with eggs and potatoes. Breakfast enchiladas and quesadillas are popular favorites.

Coming soon to Bellevue

Well known Seattle restaurants are extending branches and variations of their flagship restaurants to Bellevue. Here is a list of a few opening soon:

Purple Cafe and Wine Bar is opening a location in the Bellevue Towers. They are also branching out with new concepts: Mexican themed restaurant, Barrio, and a small dessert cafe.

Boom Noodle and Blue C Sushi are opening directly North of the Cheesecake Factory. Blue C Sushi has locations all around the Puget Sound area: Fremont, UVillage, Southcenter Mall, and Alderwood Mall. Boom Noodle is coming across Lake Washington. Young, hip Seattlites visit the Pike Street location for noodles and Japanese tapas served in modern decor.

Monsoon East is arriving in the former Porcella space. This Vietnamese restaurant is popular among brunchers looking for eclectic flavors. Eric Banh, star chef of Monsoon Seattle, is known to re-create traditional Vietnamese dishes with local Northwest ingredients.

Pearl Restaurant and Lounge is opening on Friday, November 14th, 2008. Entrees, small plates and salads will feature local produce and seafood. A long list of wines highlight local Northwest wineries. Pearl is a celebration of Northwest flavors.

Bellevue Towers will house three restaurant concepts by the owners of Purple Cafe and Wine Bar.

The Bellevue Galleria, with it’s close proximity to the transit center, is a place where locals, commuters, and visitors mingle. Choose from Yama Japanese Restaurant, Rock Bottom Brewery, and Tap House Grill for a great after hours experience.

The Lodge is a separate part of Bellevue Square that includes a Starbucks Coffee, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, and a Z’Tejas.

There are also many other restaurants within the close proximity of the Bellevue downtown area.
